Middle schoolers have a hard time juggling homework, school projects, chores and after-school activities.
During 2005, make sure homework is a priority for your child. Here are two ways she can manage her time:
1. By the clock. Have her list the hours in the day from the time she gets up to the time she goes to bed. Next to each hour or half-hour, have her list how she will spend her time. For example:
2. With a to-do list. For each day, have her list her activities. Then have her organize them by priority. For example:
1. Homework
2. Go to library
3. Soccer practice
4. Clean up room
Have her check off each activity as it is completed. Be sure to praise her when you see she is budgeting her time wisely.
